Wondering what other companies are doing to prepare for the January 26, 2009, implementation of Customs and Border Protection’s Importer Security Filing (ISF) program? The International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA) has a quick, 11 question on-line survey.
98% of early respondents say they are knowledgeable about ISF and over 50% say they will use their Customs Broker for filing. 74 % of respondents don’t know how much the ISF will cost them yet, and only half of the early respondents have actually discussed the information requirements with their foreign suppliers!
